its about time this extension came out. This is the only direct way to search jomsocial from joomla. Took a little bit of effort, cause its a newer extension, but the end result is all that counts. It works!! Take note,....to subscribers, you have to add code after line 1 right now, but im sure it will be fixed in the next version. Excellent plugin, and possibly your only real option. So work with it and it will work with you. Thank you development team, youve saved me alot of hassel. Keep it going!

The issue with adding some code on some J 1.6 and 1.7 installations is fixed since version 1.7
