A very good extension. Does what it says on the tin . Only one problem when it comes to support on anything complicated the support in my case was found wanting. I had a problem with the paypal script connection. Although the paypal script was working correctly and updating after 24 hours and was setting status to denied by default ( If it cant retrieve the status from Paypal it’s default setting is to set backend status to payment denied) I wanted to resolve the issue.
After speaking to RSForm support and giving backend access to my site I was told it was a setting on the server I was hosted with. After going round in circles for days trying to get the technical information to pass on to my host so that they could make any changes to the server to allow the script to communicate with paypal all I got was non technical answers and I felt as if I was in a never ending circle. I eventually gave up and advised the client that they would have to settle for the status as it is and go in to their paypal account and check status manually.

It’s a good extension but in my case it was let down by the lack of clear answers on how the paypal script was communicating with paypal.
For this reason I would suggest if you’re buying it for the Paypal function ask for a trial first so you can check your server can communicate with the Paypal server before purchase.
Acajoom
The component as a whole is quite good and does what it says on the tin. But testing the free version has thrown up the fact that acajoom is being targeted by spam bots and I am currently deleting up to 100 fake subscribers a day (yahoo and Gmail). Reading the forums at acajoom there does not seem to be any immediate plans to address this in the form of a captcha or challenge question.

Sadly the failure to respond to this issue by Acajoom has brought my rating of the component lower than it needs be.

Come on guys you have a good component lacking basic signup protection

The Bad Behavior plugin offers a very good protection against spam attacks without the need of a captcha system...

A very useful update to the standard contact form which is missing a number of features such as a captcha. On migration to 1.5 my standard joomla forms would not display contact images and the contact detail fields where misaligned.

I assumed this was a template issue and would require editing of either the template or contact form php files . I dont like editing core files as they if you forget you've done it the next update overwrights the change.

Qcontact sorted all of the above out and my forms now display correctly.

I would like to see qcontacts with a challenge response such as an arithmetic question or simaler as captchas as I understand it are now being cracked.

In all a very good effort and I now use it on three joomla sites .

Highly recommend

This is an ideal feature if you have a website which you want to give access to the partially sighted or blind users. I think all Joomla sites should use this mambot as a way of supporting hearing disabled users.

You have an option of female or male voices and the text read back is better than I expected. I can’t speak for the other language options (As I cant speak any of them) but for English it’s an excellent functional tool for the hearing disabled and manages to negotiate the text almost flawlessly occasionally the odd difficult word may sound wrong but overall an excellent pass rate in my view. I will be using this on my local mencap website as this was something they requested sometime ago but had to pay for using another product but thanks to Lee and others this has made it possible to use at no cost.

Lee answered my request for this to run on the frontpage articles within an hour via email and even supplied me with the updated zip file.
Excellent work Lee and many thanks.

RSform!
Once you've worked through this component and understand how to use it it's a cinch to use and does everything I need.

The abilty to add a a tag to include the form on any content page is such an advantage I use it on my terms and conditions page and include the form just below the TC's content simply by adding the form id tag to the content page

The price is an absolute give away. Get in there quick before the price goes up as I'm sure it will .

Cant find any bugs and appears to be well thought out and written

Beats anything available at the time of writing.

Cheers
