I added the old/new URLs like this:
Old: /spip.php?article22
New: /new_friendly_URL.html
And that's it!
First i was kindof intimidated by the apparent lack of any documentation. Then I found myself done, having the result i wanted in a few minutes. Of course I'll check this as this extension deserves a 5/5 if proves to be effective with permanent redirections.
Oh and a single feature I miss is the "Storing links from sites which end with 404 Error" that other, bigger extension offer. Maybe i should go for some log-featured replacement?
Great job Mister mghnpawar03!
Just unzipped the archive and 5 clics later I could test it from ie4Linux that it simply works.
Browsers icons look nice; links do work; i have the choice to let the guys coming on IE6 visit the site --or not.
Will contact developer as the French translation has 1 or 2 typos ;)
I use it to show the 5 latest modified articles in 2 categories and it took me 2' to get it running and designed (with a simple CSS suffix).
Simple often means good :)
My wishes:
A columns approch would be handy, as well as the option to show article from more than a category.
Hi, Thanks for your review. I updated my module to cater for multiple categories. Will do the column approach in my next release.
I have yet to understand how the graphical configuration does work (URL Mode does, but Homepage Display does not produce any change).
Now the XML configuration files are easy to use: It allows one to enable/disable any single button.
Very good beginning.
