Problems with my site

I'm new to joomla and just installed the plugin. First I indicated that I wanted the site name at the end of the title, now I can't find where I can set that up and second it appears both at the beginning and at the end. Also I type in the key reference at my home page and it doesn't work. Is it me that I'm doing something wrong?
