This is a good plugin, nothing really special but it would be a great plugin if it could two more things:

1) email the backup automatically
2) give the ability to deselect tables

First let me reiterate that it's a component, not a plug-in. Then, let me set some things straight.

1. It can email the backup automatically since version 2.3. Use the Plus edition. The CRON scripts it generates can do that. The web interface can't, because backups usually exceed any server's capacity of email attachments.

2. This feature exists for more than two years. It's called "database tables exclusion". Again, please use the Plus edition.
