Honestly I liked the setup and the configuration options of the component. BUT.....

Every page is full of advertisements and tells you to buy the PRO. Even on the menu link view itself it put's a back link with a price image on top with very ugly colors (I would accept backlinks but in a smart way!!). I played around with it for 5 minutes and then uninstalled it because the overadvertisement was too much for me....

Set the backlink option to no but still added the backlink. An absolute no go for me for a module!!

There was a bug in the version for Joomla 1.7 that has now been corrected!

Cool component which saved 30 minutes of my valuable time.
Would be a cool addon if it can process other extensions fields of the database.

I have an old Joomla 1.0.x site with EasyComments installed as article comment extension. The EasyComments guys stopped developing it and removed the downloads as well.

I was browsing the JED and found JComments. I copied from my old Joomla 1.0.x database the EasyComments tables to the Joomla 1.5.x database and made an import in JComments. Voila I had my already lost comments back on my new site!!! And this in only 20 minutes....

Great extension!!!!!!!!!

this was exactly what i was looking for. nicer user handling and captcha support. so i get rid of the spamed user registration!!
why joomla is not integrating some features in the core component, it would be really useful...
