Google Mapping for SOBI2 Search Results
This is an excellent add-on for Sobi2 and a must have for displaying geographical data from the Sobi2 search function. The extension is well documented and supported by the developers. I have been using the extension for more than a year now with out any real issues. Definitely recommended.

Sobi's great flexibility has just gotten even greater! The MET plugin basically covered a range of Sobi shortcomings to come up with the most ambitious and feature rich SOBI add-on to date (IMHO). Multiple entry types allow for many combinations of category control, details and vc templates, payment options, package upgrades, etc. In most cases, MET has also substituted the need for Sobi clones. If there is just one of the many features of this plugin you need, you can't go wrong with it. Greg's support is unmatched both at the Sobi forums and on the betwixted.com site.

I haven't tried any other backup component yet, but as long as joomlapack is out there I will not need to. This component is simply incredible! It has ample features, superb support, it is easy to use and it is absolutely free. I have restored backup sites (mostly test sites) at least 100 times. Only once did I encounter a problem and it was not joomlapack' s fault. Despite this, the support by Nicholas and Dale was outstanding. This is the kind of support (and product) that makes the open source community very proud and keeps the dream alive. DONATE when you can.

The previous reviews pretty much paint the picture: Extremely powerfull tool with unbelievable flexibility and potential. And Great support.
Ok there is a small learning curve, true, but it is definetely worth it, no doubt about it.

Before downloading it I read this review about support being on a paid only basis. NOT TRUE:I haven't given these guys a cent and the support I got was very fast and precise both times I needed it. The developper himself (Rob) took an interest in my problem and fixed it.

I wish I could get half of this support as a paid subscriber from some other 'bigshot' components. Their great dedication will lead Fabrik straight to the top.

Thanks Hugh and Rob, you guys rock!

Simple Featured Listings for SOBI2
This is a great free module for showing sponsored listings in sobi and highly customisable. The most amazing thing however is the detailed documentation (found at the sobi forum), as well as the great support by the author. I never really had to contact him directly since the documentation covered me, but I see the support in the forum threads. It seems hard to find such documentation (and support) for even commercial works. A big thank you to Mark for this, well deserved.

I've been using Sobi 2 for a couple of months now and it is certainly a great component full of possibilities. It is extremely usefull in that it offers many types of features and plugins. The Sobi 2 forum is very helpfull for different types of modifications one may wish to make. Sobi2 is DEFINITELY one of my favorite joomla extensions.
