Kunena
i installed this with my site and got it to blend with my joomla 1.5 template very well.

i also found portuguese and spanish translations for it (as well as english) so when a visitor changes the language of the site, the forum changes automatically as well.

i also use Community Builder with my site and it blends seamlessly with kunena too.

the only thing it is missing are "polls", hence 4 out of 5 starts.

it looks professional. i recommend it..

i just installed this module and tried it out.... it works as promised!

i have a wish list...hehe... it appears to allow for up to 5 youtube videos in the module... it would be nice to have more (work around: add the module several times?) also, if i could create a menu link/page just for this module it would be awesome.... perhaps this can be done now, but i couldn't find it in the 'create new menu option' list.

good work!

thanks for making this!

Thanks for trying out the extension. You can load the module in an article/page and link that article to menu item. This is how it's done on the demo site. You can refer to this link to figure out how to load module in article - http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

As for adding more videos, we may soon come up with a version which will support upto 10 videos.

Extended User Info Component for Joomla! 1.5.x
delivers as promissed.

try installing the module first, though, since i got an error when i did the component first - this could be totally unrelated to this extension.

i was hoping to have this info on my back end/admin panel only, not showing it to site visitors.

perhaps the creators will find this easy to do now that they have this done.

thank you guys

User trace
i just installed the component and module and it was so easy (for me, a noob) and they work great. Now i can see the ip addresses of people who come to my site!

i strongly recommend this to everyone - even if you don't think you need it, you will find that you end up using and enjoying it.

there was one little bug i found that does not hamper functionality but that may be listed to fix.... when i select the component name without choosing one of the components submenu options, i get a error message "500 - An error has occurred. View not found [name, type, prefix]: utadmin, html, utadminView" this is so minor, thou, that one should not think twice about installing it. i did not test the plugin, because i don't need its functionality

Joomla Visitor Map
I have had this module on my site for about two weeks now.

I have not noticed any advertising at all.

The problem is though, that it only shows about 10 place markers of visitors and I know I have had dozens more than that (via Google Anylitics) so I have the impression that it may be only logging visits from search engines, hot actual people.

Given that it doesn't show actual visitors (which may be my mistake, though I have checked the settings), I will unpublish it.

The module will show visitors if and only if their IP resolves to actual coordinates via a specific service. Unfortunately, not all IPs resolve correctly, and this is probably the issue you are facing.

Google Dictionary
This module is easy to install, once registered on their site, download, unzip and install into Joomla and publish.

It does what it promises but does bring some extra, not so welcome, stuff... like a link back to the creators website, a row of stars that are each linked to something... this takes away from the professional look many may want to get.

Also, the width of the translation fields are adjustable - but nothing else... the hight of these fields can't be altered ...there is a permanent title "Instant Dict Widget" that can't be removed and also there is no way to get rid of languages that you don't want available.

It does its job, so I give it a "fair".

MediaWiki Auto-Login
This Harold Prins fellow is a genius, however, mere mortals like me find geniuses a tad hard to follow...

Case in point: this is an awesome plugin but took more than just "snap, snap" to configure... it is NOT as easy as "install and publish".

Read Harold's instructions first to get an idea:

http://haroldprins.nl/wiki/index.php?title=Installation_guide

If I had seen this before I started I would not have taken the plunge... it is tricky.

After all my labours, I see a deflating: "Warning: This file is not build for a subdomain. The plugin works, but the auto return after login and logout fails. I work on a modified version". I am not sure what this means, but it would have been nice to see it earlier.

I am a NOOB and wanted to post this before I forget... I will give more feedback after testing thoroughly.

Good work Mr. Dutchman... too bad we are not as smart as you.
