I purchased this component specifically to work with Docman 2. Upon installation I hit some errors and contacted support. The same day they responded and advised that although the component was not yet compatible off the shelf with Docman 2, they could install some code to get it working, which they did. Component works excellently, and allows me to allow only registered users to search PDF content (which was the requirement for the site I installed this on). The developer was also working directly with the developers of Docman to ensure that the next release included the modifications to the code, so there will be no 'hackery' in the future.

Their support gave me a lot of confidence that I was working with someone that wanted to deliver a good, solid solution that would not break the next time there was an update either to itself or a component it works with. Very pleased.
The Geocode Factory
What I like about this product is that after a standard 20 second install it could immediately interface with existing components such as SobiPro or Mosets tree. I had a map up on the screen with multiple markers in minutes.

Support has also been very good. For the price this is a no-brainer. Highly recommended.

Babel-U-Exams
I had a need for an exam component for two sites. I selected this one over some others. The documentation is pretty good and all emails were answered same or next day with very full answers. Granted, it's not the cheapest of components, but I've been using it for a few days now and it's been 100% stable. I was able to import a load of questions via CSV from a different system without issue, and am now in a position where I could get a new exam live literally within minutes.

Before I purchased I also noted that the change log had frequent updates, which shows that the component is under constant development, which is also very good.

I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium component, and this does exactly what it says on the tin.
Proforms
I tried the free version first to make sure it did what I wanted. Was testing on a test site in a subfolder of the original site. When I moved the site up to root I encountered a small problem which the developers fixed remotely within 48 hours.

I like their business model of 'pay for support' and get additional functions'

The component has some nice features, such as split columns, which I've not seen in other components I've tested.

Will be standardising on this in the future.
Mosets Tree
I'll be honest, I thought this component was overpriced when I looked at it initially, however it reflects the level of functionality and flexibility that you get with it.

I've just completed a site for a trade association that wanted to have a directory of its members. Mosets tree gave me the flexibility to tweak it to their exact requirements, almost completely without having to hack code.

Furthermore, the support I had was excellent. I had the nightmare of exporting data from a legacy Access database, but the built in importing facility made life quite easy. When I did hit problems the Moset support team got answers to me usually within 24 hours.

(I also have another site that's been running with Mosets Hot Property for a few years without problems).

Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Joo!BB
I looked at all of the other forums, as I had a very specific requirement, and this is the only one that could deliver - the two issues which really sold this component for me were:

1. Ability to allow a user access to one forum but deny access to another

2. Ability to create custom profile fields that were displayed when visitors look at a user's profile

Although the author goes to great lengths to state that the component is beta I have experienced no issues in the front end, and only one in the back end, which was not a showstopper anyway. The support forums for this component seem to be very active as well, which is always a good sign.

Two thumbs up!
