The plugin does what it says, creates a "private" file upload/download area for a user, or a public upload/download area for everyone. To get to your own files you must login, or to get to everyone's files you must login.

Unfortunately if you choose to uninstall the program note it hijacks the system login/logout functionality and you'll get an error.

To restore the original functionality you'll need to replace the module folder with the default login module folder that comes with the original Joomla install and you'll need to replace the user component as well. As always make sure you have a backup before attempting this fix (or if you like to gamble, rename the current folders and then delete once you are sure everything is working).

Here are the folders that need to be replaced...

/components/com_user
/modules/mod_login

Took about a day for me to figure out what was going on, etc. but I have now returned to the original login/logout functionality by following these steps.

It would be really nice if the authors re-worked the install so that this happens automatically. Can only give it an average rating because of this challenge.
