AdminExile
Easy to install - works a treat with J2.5 helps to keep out trouble without a complex method and shields the administrator page from sight.

( Never a good idea to use purely numeric passwords, mentioned by a previous reviewer )

Installed this for Joomla v1.5.23 after the core e-mail cloak plugin threw up -> Must have Javascript enabled ks a treat.
Not Tried for v1.6 (Yet)

The site is Dutch so go in through Google translate.

JCK Editor
Switched from a JCE subscription and went for the JCKeditor subscription to get the additional features with the subscription plugins. (Very good value and well worth the small outlay)

Used this with Joomla 1.5.x sites and trialling 1.6.x development. Recent addon updates have just put the cherry on the icing. Took a little effort to make the switch but now a core feature of site installation and development. Saves a lot of time and effort as well as looking good.

The documentation is a trifle sparse but it is not difficult to figure out how to utilize.

Top class addition to Joomla :)

Admin Tools
This extension is a great addition to Joomla admin management and patch updates. I've used it to manage three non-profit sites and can honestly say its a breeze to use and a great time saver.

Quickcontent
Just the ticket for rapid pages prototyping.

Section, Category use or creation, menu linking options and dummy page content published or unpublished. With a few clicks :)

Downloaded and running on local server in seconds.
Took a couple of seconds to figure the Green Tick was Apply Changes, otherwise Happy to recommend as a time saver.
