Joomunity is an awesome component for Joomla! and dare I say a great replacement for community builder. This application is well on its way. It is easy to use with a modern and user friendly flow.
If you have problems installing the application do the following:
1) Install with installer
2) Unpack the component package joomunity_11217.zip and copy/paste all files in the com_joomunity directory under your components directory in admin and site.
3) Copy language files in the language directory
4) Sign into the administrator panel and use the sync database option.
Once complete you should have Joomunity running without issue.

I tried and tried, and tried again. And finally decided to ditch a component I paid $85 for, because it breaks after other component installations. My purpose for purchasing the software was to allow my clients access to project status, task, calendar, and file upload. After trying their online demo I decided to purchase the product. Mistake!
1) There are plenty of free and open applications that do the same job and better Project Pier, SugarCRM, and Achievo just to name a few. I picked jprojects, because it was a built specifically for Joomla!
2) Clients cannot view the calendar on the frontend.
3)I installed rokbridge and clients could no longer view project information on the frontend (No_Auth message). Thinking that it maybe related to rokbridge I uninstalled the application. Still did not work. I then uninstalled jproject without removing remaining db table and it still DID NOT work. I removed any reference to jproject and then reinstalled the app. Re-populated the data and finally it worked again... Then I installed Community Builder. Jproject once again could NO LONGER be viewed on the frontend by clients. This happened at least 3 times before I finally decided to just throw the app away. After months of trying to get this running with little success, I did a little research and found Project Pier to be the best solution for my needs.
On a side note... I also purchased JAccounts. It's a good application, but not exactly worth $85. Support also isn't exactly the best. When I first purchased jaccounts and had an issue with the installation the response was "we are running xampp with no problem". Not exactly answer I was expecting. My recommendation is save your money.

Well, I was waiting for Jxtended to launch as I knew they were components that would be developed by Joomla! Core team members. Worth the wait!
- Installation is simple and straight forward with mods and plugins simultaneously with the component.
- Easy to configure.
- Cool features include nice looking ratings and spam protection.
- Other products that are great and work immediately upon install include: Filler, Exchange, Engineer, Reports, and all of their plugins.

This is a Very nice forms component and quite intuitive! However, one major flaw with native 1.5 version is that it does not function with legacy 1.0 turned on in Joomla 1.5. That is a major flaw! Legacy is key while many major components are being updated to native 1.5. I am sure many Docman and Community Builder users will not want to adopt this forms component if they are unable to use legacy. I recommend allowing for the use of legacy.

Dear Neriv,
Thank you for your report. Frankly speaking we have missed the issue.
I think we will include support for Joomla 1.5. legacy in the following update.
Thank you again - it is important for us to get the feedback, we try our best to include the features people ask for.
