Their forum only had one post related to EasyDiscuss, showing how to translate EasyDiscuss into another language. I looked at the English language files installed with EasyDiscuss and I could see that the files contain the correct information (but the correct information is not displaying).
So I put in a support request. They responded "...I am sorry but we are still working on the documentation on EasyDiscuss...."
Furthermore, they request that I include my backend username and password. That seems to me to be a significant security risk.
If you are experienced with Joomla you may find such problems easy to navigate. In my case, I have only been using Joomla for a few months (but have been creating websites for over a decade) so my experience level could be part of the problem. However, I certainly expected that when I paid for a component I would at least receive a minimal amount of documentation.
Hey,
I am really sorry for putting you into such hassles. It is most likely that there was some incorrect language format in one of the earlier releases. The latest release does resolve the language issues.
We normally request for the back end access if we can't replicate the same issues on your site. Nevertheless, I sincerely apologize for causing such an inconvenience for you.
If you are unsatisfied with the product, please do get in touch with us via sales@stackideas.com and we'll try to get things resolved for you.
Thank you very much for the kind feedbacks
