jConnector
I installed this without going through his forums. It was easy and I liked the way the module appeared unobstrusively above my CB login module. But, therein, was the problem. It has some problems with CB which I'm hoping the developer will address. After uninstalling I had some problems with CB and an unknown column in the database. Searched his support forums and found it necessary to delete a field in a certain table. That was simple enough too.

Hope he gets it sorted out so us CB users can use it.

Thanks for your feedback. We've included support for CB in version 1.1. You can download it from our site.

Frontend User Article List
This is something useful on my site since I can't find an adequate and safe joomla blog system. A couple of things though:
1. Users must be given Author status to use.
2. Publish button on the Author's list is not working and articles must be published from the back end. Is that correct?
3. Any way to limit sections/categories that can be published too?

This is very good work so hope and is esthetically pleasing so I'm not too picky. Can't wait to see your next version. Thanks!

Hi :)
1. The FUAL component has the purpose of assist the articles management (without preview to normal or just registered users) and only the users that have at least author status can create articles.
2. Now, the FUAL according with joomla permissions and natively the author hasn't permission to publish articles.
3. I didn't understand your question, but there isn't any limit for this... I guess :P

Thank you and you'll adore the version 2.0b of the FUAL component...
Abraços ;)

IDoBlog Free
IDoBlog Free is a good component. It looks nice. IDoBlog Pro was even better because it had Community Builder integration and some cool features. The developer abandoned it. That leaves only one viable blog component for Joomla, a very expensive and not necessarily better system. And for that one you have to buy the comments system separately.

To the developer, why not start developing the Pro component again? Price it at about half of what it was before and you can maximize your profit because a lot of people are looking for such a sleek blog system that works and works with CB. Thanks!

Article-Generator
Works just as it says. I am very pleased with all the content I can generate with the click of a button. The developer's site has good documentation to get you started - which was very easy. Some of my server settings were off and it was very easy to sort that out with the developer's help. You are somewhat dependent on your source's RSS feeds so he also made a couple of suggestions how I could use the component better. This is going to make me look good in a lot of my user's eyes.

Thanks, Matthias, for your prompt and courteous assistance.

Smart Blog
You have what is sorely needed in Joomla: a simple and functional blog with comments component where all registered users can blog on the site under Section - blogs and Category - username. One would think those simple permissions would be built in. Once you change that character limit and add CB integration, you'll have a winner.

thank you for the review. The character limit issue is solved in smart blog v1.5.
