EngineEra logoShow
We used this extension to draw attention to the sponsors of our professional society. It takes a minimal amount of space at the top of most pages. It has motion so it draws the viewers eyes. The logo and click through links are easily edited.

The mirrored effect looks best if the bottom of the logo has graphics and not text. This may take some editing of some company logos.

Had some problems caused by our sites use of SEF URL's but for a bit more money the authors fixed for us in a couple days. Considering the extension sells for $1.50 I feel it only reasonable that we pay for technical support.

I hope they come out with a Joomla 2.5 version.

JE Story submit
Component had minor issue with JCK editor. Author fixed them soon after my reporting them. New version has been posted, looks like it has same fixes. Photo upload integrated into the submission page is a very nice touch. Keeps end users from dumping pictures all over the place in your folder structure. Would be even better if it had a front end upload component that re-sized the photos on the client side, like ignite Gallery. People that need this simplified article submission are the same ones that will upload a 5MegPixel pic from their cell phone wonder why it is taking so long and think your website has frozen up.
However all in all definitely worth the money.

AJAX Register
Easy to install and configure. Choice of Captcha options was nice the standard Recaptcha images are getting hard to read. Realtime checking user input is very nice.

Qlue Custom 404
I've manually set up error pages for a Joomla site before so I figured I would do the same again. After wasting several hours making a static HTML page etc, I still didn't have a working solution. So figured I would see what was available in the way of extensions.

Found this little gem, a little money and a little time and working Custom Error pages. Should have used this right from the start.

The tracking of bad URL's is a great feature as well.
