Joomla core components as well as many available 1.5 extensions are missing one key feature = export. SQL2Excel fills the gap, as you can define your own queries and export any data you would like from your Joomla database.
It is very user friendly and intuitive. Great work.

Downloaded the tool, then installed it and was managed to use it within few minutes. Detailed documentation is available on developer’s website, so it helps inexperienced users do download MySQL ODBC driver, install it and start using this tool.
Tool helps you to create a DB connection, then to query DB and build SQL queries by dragging the mouse. Great. Once the query is defined you can export the results straight to excel spreadsheet for detailed analysis.
I wish I saw more tools like that in the extensions repository.

I have been using this component for months without any hassle. I would recommend it to all administrators, who need to manage the “chmod” settings of files/folders created by the system.
