MultiAds(Make Adsense and YPN Easy)
I can't seem to find anyplace on their site — enoga.org — to get in touch with them for support. My AdSense content block is displaying twice. Other than that, the plugin was super easy to set up. Worked right away, except for the double blocks. Looks pretty bad so have to turn it off for now.

JXtended Magazine
I'm still digging into this component, using it on a new e-magazine site soon to be launched. But so far, I really love it. Specifically, because I can assign articles to display in multiple sections and categories. It's very, very flexible.

Took me a while to understand the possibilities — it's so flexible that it can be confusing on how to start — but once you understand that Categories are not confined to specific Sections, and how to filter the interface properly, you can really do a lot.

I can have a single article grouped with other articles in multiple landing pages on my site. Any new articles I add are assigned relationships to sections and categories, and will appear in the landing pages in truncated form automatically.

On the down side, I had to hack in a "Read more" link for my articles, but I've posted my solution in the JXtended Magazine forum. Wasn't that hard, however.

It also has a lot of parameter options for displaying or hiding article information such as sub-titles, summaries, author, and much more.

As it's title implies, JXtended Magazine is a great component for e-magazine sites, but you'll probably need an experienced Joomla pro to do the layout customization. I had to do several things using layout overrides.

Have fun!

Ajax Math Captcha - SecureForm
I needed to set up captcha for my contact form quickly this morning. I tried SecurityImages and reCaptcha. The first was difficult to setup and the second only works on registration forms.

After reading reviews on this page, I downloaded SecureForms for Joomla 1.0.15, and even though the instructions were just a tad sparse, it was still easy to set up and works well.

After unzipping the download, I read the readme file, backed up my files and uploaded the replacements as instructed. Then I installed the securebot zip file with Joomla's Mambot installer. After publishing the bot, the captcha form came right up. I had to customize the text and some of the margin space to suit my layout, but I feel comfortable recommending this bot and its hacks. Replacing "install Securebot configure and publish" with something like "Install the enclosed, zipped securebot file with the Joomla Mambot installer and publish." might help resolve some confusion. But I'm just nitpicking.

Thanks Cedric!
