I needed an FAQ-like component where content items are segmented by categories and only one category open at a time. This did the trick and at a very reasonable price.
Easy to install. Lots of parameters for customizing. Think outside the box -- this component works for any type of content (like a list of services by category), not just FAQs.
I bought the component four months ago and today the developer sent me a notice of a free upgrade. With the new version, "publishers" can edit items from the front-end, so I wanted to upgrade. No uninstalling -- just install the new version and the upgrade seamlessly is complete.

This extension enabled me to launch a find-a-dealer-near-me web application that does what I was looking for. I didn’t see any other extensions that demoed what I was looking for, so I gambled on paying for the download/license.
Because it delivered the value I needed and does do what it says it does, I give it 5 stars. I maintain a dealer list in the admin section, and I can create maps and/ or directories of the dealer locations – each allowing the user to search by nearness, states/provinces, colored markers, and keywords. The dropdowns are automatically populated with only valid options (e.g., listing only the state with a location). The html is well marked up with classes and ids so that I can style this component with CSS. A text edit box allows me to add photos, links, and whatever to the balloon behind each pin on the map.
This does all the heavy lifting I needed, and it is open enough for me to customize per clinet's need.
I’m one of the first to try this product, so I reported an IE7 quirk that I found. Within a very short time Mike had the fix in.
I am so glad that I could just buy this component instead of cobbling together my own solution. Good value for the money.
