Advanced Module Manager
Was struggling in getting the module placements that I wanted on the pages that I wanted them and when I say struggle I mean I was in deep "doodoo" for about 48hrs until I stumbled across this little gem.

Can't recommend it highly enough.

Thanks for this wonderful extension. Withing about 10 minutes I have managed to export my Wordpress posts and pages to a Joomla 1.5 install. Now to just get those posts transfered to my 1.6 version.
