I first started looking for a OPCO solution in November 2010. At that time there were perhaps only 2 or 3 4 offerings, each with some limitation preventing my serious consideration.

Then I ran into the Polished Geek solution in November 2010 and purchased it. It was buggy, it didn't quite fit what I wanted it to do. Service and support was excellent, but in the end I requested a refund and it was provided promptly and courteously.

Wind the clock forward a year to December 2011.
I spent several hours again looking for a OPCO module, only to see very little progress - still the same handful of options available and still nothing that seemed to check-off all my boxes.

Then I noticed that the Polished Geek folks had made considerable updates and changes to their module from when I first tried it, so I decided to give them another run. It was a no-brainer really, since I knew based on my last dealings with the company that if the software didn't work out for me I wouldn't have to fight them to get my money back.
This time around the software looks very different. It comes with extensive CSS editing capability so that you can style the presentation of the checkout page to match your theme with ease. There are even some styling samples along with all the CSS parameters needed to recreate the samples on your own site.
And it works, it works great! I just registered my software on the cusp of them releasing the latest version, and I needed to re-install the latest version to get rid of a little bug. But it works great now!
I use Paypal, USPS, AWO Coupons, FirstData Merchant account, and absolutely no problems whatsoever.
So congratulations to Deb and the team at Polished Geek.....I can only imagine the effort that has gone into making this thing work across the countless configuration options that are available with Joomla/VM and all their associated plugins/modules.
In case you're shopping around, one of the main limitations I found with their closest competitor was that it seemed to do everything except it didn't support 'account creation' during checkout, so it was pretty much dead in the water at that point. Other similar products all have something missing. This product does it all.
If you install it and have a couple 'issues' don't get too upset, Deb and the team will be there to help you get things figured out quickly.

My experience with this company has been first rate. I received timely answers to my pre-sales questions and first rate ongoing support.
The Membership module itself installed and works flawlessly.
I should say that I'm not exactly using this module as intended. In fact, this is a heads-up to all you shopping cart people (Virtuemart etc) who want to offer recurring billing for an Auto-ship product. I've searched for a year for this feature and the OSE module provides exactly what I need albeit outside of virtuemart.

I needed some support to get it to work the way that I wanted it, and their guys are really on the ball. Even though they are based in the UK, and are 6 hours ahead of us, I received responses to support inquiries at what would have been 8.30pm UK local time, on a Friday night!

Anyway, to reiterate that I'm not using this exactly as intended, but it's been a first rate experience start to finish.

What a great component, quick and easy to install and works perfectly. I'm using it to auto-publish new article notifications to Twitter, it can also be used for Facebook and other Social Media sites.
Installation error-free!
