JCK Editor
I too have tried several editors. I don't know how I missed this one for so long.

The great advantage with this one is that is does not inject useless html coding in like others do - you keep your nice, clean html coding - just like that of "Editor None".

Good job folks!!

xp MP3 Gallery
The only reason I didn't give it an "Excellent" rating is that I haven't had a change to go deep, but this was so simple to install, and being a "load position" plugin, you can put all kinds of text and graphics around it.

It samples the selected mp3 folder and lists them in a user friendly way.

Bravo!!

RokQuickCart
Installed in minutes, just the ticket for our non-profit Chamber of Commerce.

We desperately need categories, I wish kokujin would have described a little more how "mod it a bit to have multiple Categories" looks.

Since it is not a "mod", it is a component and plugin, what was done to make categories work (I would think edit component and mysql).

Sobi2
I feel this is one of the best, if not the best free extensions built so far. I am not highly experienced with it yet, but am so impressed with it's capabilities.

The interface is simple - great advantage as I have novice users manipulating the database.

It is so powerful, automatic links to google maps is an example.

I wanted to give a "Good" rating because the documentation so far is terrible. But, when something this good is free, it is incumbent on me to figure out the complexities of the program (how to change look on web etc.)

ContentPassword
This extension uses the KISS theory - keep it simple!!

I only installed this morning, but so far it is working great - I have a protected page with three separate passwords - all work.

For those of you just trying this:

1. Download the zip file

2. In Joomla 1.5, go to Extensions; Install/Uninstall and take the steps to install the extension.

3. Activate it in the Plugin manager, and the Module manager.

4. Create a content page. Put the password(s) in (at top of article) that you choose in the form of:

{password1}{password2}{password3}

obviously replacing the password info with what you want.

5. Place the content below the password information.

Works great!!

Banner Slider
I just tried this extension, and like it.

It works well in IE 8 for me. Previous note indicate it doesn't.
