Have had good success with this component (latest version for J2.5). Installed easily, very intuitive, back-end & front-end worked as expected. Their support has been responsive. I think they heard the community!

Redirect Registration for JomSocial
The redirect plugin from JomSocial was not able to do this so cleanly and simply. I was able to update it to also redirect logins to JomSocial as well.

Locator
The more I use this component the more features and capabilities I find. Mike Fatica has done an incredible job of using the latest version of GoogleMaps API and it's fast and configurable.
