The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

I purchased an earlier version of this extension for a Joomla 1.5 site in 2009 and received an immediate upgrade to a release that came out simultaneously along with a bit of installation advice that was promptly supplied on request.

I've used the extension for about 3 years now and can't fault it. Its easy to use, works out of the box as everything is pretty much self explanatory. However, there is also documentation.

So imagine my surprise when I contacted the developer to ask about the upgrade path for Joomla 2.5 and what it would cost, only to be told that I could upgrade at no cost to myself with a link included in the email.

This has to be one of the best value extensions available. I should also add that the developer Sean, responded to my inquiry within about an hour or so of it being sent off.

Sean mate, you have a brilliant product. You really should charge more for it as I would definitely like to know you will be around when I want to buy a another copy for other sites I will be working on.

I'm fairly new to Joomla! (coming from the design community rather than coding/programming) and tend to look for extensions that are fairly straight forward to install and set up, not to mention get to work. Phil's Joomla Forms fits the bill.

I've looked at all the usual suspects for form creation and been sorely disappointed by many of them. This one however is different – it works!

I did have a small installation issue which turned out to be the fault of my host rather than with Joomla Forms. However, before I discovered the real culprit, I contacted support for Joomla Forms and received some fairly immediate helpful suggestions as to how to fix the problem.

After moving to a more helpful host, the installation and set up of Joomla Forms went smoothly and without a hitch. I had my first form created and working within ten minutes.

For anyone buying this, please take time to view the really helpful videos Phil has posted on his website. These walk you through the process of creating your first form and was the clincher for me buying this. I wish more developers did this.

I did find a small conflict issue with the use of JCE Editor 1.5.1 in conjunction with Joomla Forms. On contacting Phil, I'm assured that this is being corrected and I look forward the update which incidentally I am assured will be free as are future updates once you have bought the product.
