Joomlas2go is a must for everyone who is in the process of developing or maintaining Joomla websites. Gabriel has worked the process down to a one click installation and considering the great number of files involved Joomlas2go he deserves the highest rating possible. I purchased the premium package and downloaded the FireFox and Opera mulit-packs and was amazed at how simple the process of installation was. Just unzip the muli-pack onto your root drive – unzip it and your installation is done.

Pros

A. Ease of installation and stability of the program. One click and the default browser (in my case Firefox or Opera) opens up with multiple Joomla installs. You have Joomla 1.5, Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7 Content Management Systems installed with both sample data packages as well as with no sample data all in one browser screen. Talking about a homepage for a developer this is the ultimate tool and a must have for ease of use…
B. With the ability to work and develop your Joomla website on your computer has many benefits for example – speed. If you have ever developed and maintained Joomla sites online you know the time required to edit and save pages – upload files and extensions and workout problems within the site. Well having them on your computer removes upload and download time and you are only limited by your computers speed and not your bandwidth. If you have a fast computer you will be amazed at the speed of Joomlas2go as you fly through your websites.
C. Using Joomlas2go on your computer you can easily spot slow or conflicting extensions that are not working well with your Joomla configuration. Just enable and disable them to see how well they work in your website environment. A slow lagging extension equals a slow loading webpage and a poor experience for visitors to your site let alone the excessive resources they use…
D. Support! Having worked with Joomla for a while now I have experienced both sides of the spectrum when it comes to support. Some extension developers have their heads so high in the clouds you (the person with the problem) are just a waist of their time. Gabriel is not that way as he goes the extra mile to work out your problems and not only does he go the extra mile but he offers to go two.

Cons

A. Just like anything else in life there is a learning process and Joomlas2go is no exception. Although the mechanics of Joomlas2go is similar to having your website online there are some adjustments to be made in your way of thinking but don’t worry they are painless modifications in the way you work your sites – call them tricks to the trade and easily adjusted to.
B. There was a problem with my Windows 7 Ultimate operation system in that it would not allow the Joomlas2go database to run from my C drive but Gabriel worked it out through Skype and Team Viewer and he just moved the multi-pack folder over to D drive and all was well. Actually it worked out better for me because I could access the multi-pack from multiple operating systems instead of being limited to just Windows 7…

The bottom line is Joomlas2go is a must for anyone who uses Joomla and I highly recommend both the program and Gabriel with 5+++ Stars and the Premium package – worth every cent – you won’t regret it…
