Update Manager for Joomla!
Why have I been running a joomla site for years now without this? I found it while building a site for someone else, put it on their site and a couple of others I've done for people.
All in all, installed on 4 sites and all the sites updated without a glitch in under 10 minutes, from various out of date versions.
Absolutely superb and I've told the owners of the sites they can now do their own updates, it's that good.

Installed and working within 5 minutes. Don't forget to enable the plugin in Extensions->Plugin Manager . It even says in the instructions to remember to do it and I didn't straight away. As soon as it was enabled, works a treat.
