Joomanager
JOOMANAGER IS AN ULTIMATE FAILURE AT RETS IMPORTS...
If you want a component that is capable of pulling "compliant" RETS imports, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

(RETS/Real Estate Transaction Standards is the standardization of how MLS data is formatted - ie if a product claims to be RETS Compliant up to version 1.1.8, then it is supposed to be compatible with MLS,s that run servers compliant to that version or lower)

If you are looking for a RETS importer (RETS Client) to integrate into your website, at first glance JOOMANAGER seems promising. If you are a REALTOR or if you design Real Estate websites, you probably already know that there are certain requirements that MUST be met in terms of what can and what can not be displayed as well as what MUST be displayed with each property listing.

JOOMANAGER CLEARLY FAILS THIS TEST DUE TO CONFIGUREABLITY ISSUES!

IT DOES NOT IMPORT ALL REQUIRED FIELDS, HOWEVER, IT ALSO GRABS DATA THAT (is allowed ONLY for "agent use exports", BUT WHICH) MUST NOT BE DISPLAYED ON PUBLIC ACCESS WEBSITES. JOOMANAGER DOES NOT OFFER THE ABILITY TO FILTER THE FORBIDDEN CONTENT FROM PUBLIC EYES, RENDERING THE PRODUCT UNFIT FOR USE ON PRODUCTION WEBSITES.

As additional info, the support forums are full of request that you relinquish sensitive RETS LOGIN information to the moderator (LOOK AT THE CONTRACT YOU/YOUR CLIENT SIGNED WITH THE MLS-PROVIDER... I bet it prohibits sharing this info with anyone other than those named in the agreement) While Jonah may have pure and honest intentions, it becomes obvious through the forums that he is NOT the developer. What means is, not only does he have your RETS LOGIN INFO, most likely it will likely be shared with any developer(s) he may hire to help sort out issues. While I suspect only the purest of intentions, it is easy to see the potential for great harm through miss use and the potential theft of data. (EXAMPLE: Using stolen data you/your client already paid for, to generate real estate leads they try to sell back to you/your client.)

THE BOTTOM LINE...
Joomanager does NOT do what it promises, while it does things it should not. Using Joomanager in it's current version/release state, you/your client will probably be in violation of the RETS Access Agreement with the MLS or REALTOR Association which may cause you to have your RETS access privileges revoked.

JOOMANAGER SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS A RETS IMPORTER FOR PRODUCTION WEBSITES UNTIL, IT OFFERS PROPER USER CONFIGURABLE CONTROL OVER THE DISPLAY OF THE DATA IT IMPORTS.

Hello,

Joomanager imports all fields, the current version allows you to actually choose what fields you desire imported and which you don't. Yes it does import all server fields we didn't realize some RETS server keep old and new records on, so this is a feature we'd like to implement in future versions, ability to choose new/active records or all records on a server.

The thing is with RETS is there is no standardization. It was supposed to be a standard in and of itself but every server has different field names for their fields, so without a standard it complicates things. What we do at Joomanager is if its not working for you, we'll work alongside and custom code it until it does. Yes it may take some back and forth time and yes we would have to test your RETS login details.
