Just such a component I have looked for! I tried to install it without problems, but it only shows the articles with "A", and there are no way to go to B, C etc.
In the backend there are no options in the component to choose.
Else, I think this will be a very good component :-)

Articles starting with "A" is a default view for the ABC component. The component is thought to be used with the "ABC Alphabet Joomla Module", that is just a clickable alphabet.
You can download this module on our www.airiny.com site.
You can also build your own menu with link type menu items where the link is formed like
index.php?option=com_abc&view=abc&letter=$letter
where $letter is the letter for which you want to show the articles, ex.
index.php?option=com_abc&view=abc&letter=B
We are working on a new version of the component with much more configuration options and documentation.
