It's proved really useful, as it's possible to map any part of a user record back to the information stored in LDAP. I'm now managing all my existing users records through LDAP Directory (in the back-end).
The front-end component needs quite a bit of work. It doesn't offer any really useful functionality and I've received a number of errors trying to display an individuals record.
But if you're looking for a simple, functional, clean LDAP user manager - this is it. THANK YOU!
Thanks!
I didn't put a lot of work into the front end for two reasons.
1) I'm not a GUI type person, so I can't make things look nice :]
2) It was designed to be overloaded by the template - meaning, if you check the default views, there is instructions on how to make it look however you would like. I did this on purpose because I figured most people would have different requirements for details you want to display.
Thanks Again,
Jason
I just needed to POST two system variables (not a username or password) to a wrapper page - preferrably without the users having to click anything...
...and this did it.
It took a little while to understand how best to use the Site, User & Categories options. But with a bit of time, it has allowed me to do exactly what was needed.
Thanks again. I hope development continues with the extension - as I could see it being included as a core component given its potential.
