I installed it, it seems to work, but I do not see where or how to use it in a K2 item. And I don't see how to find out. Uninstalling.
Hello, Plugin for Com_k2 here:
http://j4vn.com/download/joomla-15/plugin-e-content-save-to-com_k2/
The reason we won't give 5 stars is that we feel strongly that customer service should also matter. Altho this is a free component right now, we are effectively testing it for free and providing feedback that will help the developer. Our experience on the forum was met with untimeliness, rudeness (from another board member) and more complaining. We pay for many components but the attitude we got is that we wanted it all for free, would never pay for anything anyway and were in fact inept. Unacceptable.
Overall, we would recommend FeedGator as a good Joomla addition. Order it without a side of rude and it will enhance your site.
Would like the option to include the Sharing functions as text links instead of as the pop-up bar with icons. As we only want to add the Facebook and Twitter options, it would be nice to have it look like:
Add Site to Favorites
Add Page to Favorites
Make Homepage
Tweet This
Email This Page
Print This Page
Save Page as PDF
You need to get the Section ID first (Content > Section Manager > ID) and put that in.
Would be nice to have the option of including the Article Summary also. I have a section masquerading as a blog and in an effort to separate the blog entries from the regular content articles, thought it would be nice to separate them on the front page. This works simply to list the blog entry titles, but no summaries, dates etc.
Very good tutorial.
Installed with no problem. Worked well, very simple and straightforward. Very much unlike other form components that I have used that were confusing with tables and connections etc. I have so many other aspects of my Joomla sites to worry about that I really don't want to spend time on a form component that I will use to set up a form one time and then barely use again. This component rocks for what it is supposed to do - nothing too fancy, very simple out of the box, no steep learning curve.
It would be great if it included some default values such a Country and State drop-down list, and maybe a start-up sample basic form. But for a free component, it's the best I have tried so far.
