This module, in Ajax mode, has a very nice effect, and is very easy to configure. Instead, I don't like jQuery mode...

There could be a problem with ISO/UTF8 encoding (chars like è, ù, ...), in this case, go here for resolution:

Another problem could be that is not possibile to set transparent background... But it can be manually modified in code.

Pro: you can add a help desk / ticket system in your Joomla site, with an easy installation and configuration, and also for free!

Cons: surely it could be improved, specially for the HTML design.

This small module can be a great gadget to put on a travel agency site... presenting the time of the main turistic destinations.

I think this is the best open source e-commerce solution!

1. the integration with Joomla allow to have an unique presentation+shop website, that looks better and easier for customers

2. highly customizable, a lot of features, for different types of shops: support for downloadable items, credit card/paypal payment, discounts and coupons management....

3. very active community at virtuemart.net, most problems are resolved in forum, and also many hacks/plugins were developed

4. easily programmable for PHP developers, to customize and expand the component

5. great development team, the next versions will be very improved with a lot of new features

...and so on...

I use it only for generating the Google Sitemap, and the result is very good. Great the compatibility with VirtueMart, it doesn't index the products, but this is not a problem, just submitting to Google all the categories allow the engine to scan the correct pages: great results in search rank!

This is the best shoutbox module I have tried: just does what is needed.

I made it working also in Joomla 1.5 RC, with some code editing, because of module subdir and other mods...

This component is very simple, and surely could be expanded with other features, for example view / edit / create table structure, but it's a valid and useful alternative for sysadmin if phpMyAdmin is not available, to have a basic control of records. In fact, with this extension you can easily list, edit, delete and create records; in addiction there are also some useful queries like "SHOW STATUS" and "SHOW CREATE TABLE".

To use at best this extension, you should have a minimum SQL knowledge.

+ very simple to install and use
+ useful (it will be boring inserting manually all wikipedia liks)
+ good features: specific link color, ability to select wikipedia server (en, it, fr, ...), ability to specify different article name for the link

- it will be also very nice the ability to select an alternative server for a particular link; in example I use the italian site, but some words can be missing; so it will be nice to have a tag like this: [[Joomla]], that force using en.wikipedia.org.

It's only my opinion: this component is good, but not so different from others to pay for it... There are AstatsPro and JoomlaStat that do the work for free...

However nice try, keep working.

This component is very useful for people translating Joomla 1.5, and also for people that simply want to change some strings, according to site customization...

If you simply want to display dynamic maps in Joomla, this is the perfect solution. You have only to configure the mambot (very easy) and put a {mosmap} tag inside content, in desidered position.

This component has a lot of interesting features, surely it's a good word; but I won't recommend it for a simple use (like a single map "where you are"), I found slightly difficult to config the component, and some bug...

This extension is great, in few minutes you can have a perfectly working multilanguage site!! Joomla strings, menus, contents, labels... almost everything.
