MaQma Helpdesk
Unfortunately I wasn't able to use this component, because the Admin buttons (specifically 'Apply' and 'Save') don't work. I was hoping to find answers on their website, but there is nothing there in the KB about it... The other problem I have is that the entire component is not intuitive, the terminology used is not descriptive in a way that allows you to setup the component easily. Terms such as Client User, Customer User, Assigned User - none of these mean anything to me, so you have to consult documentation (which I haven't found yet) to find out what they mean. Too bad, looks like a great component.

we are open to accept recommendations to make it better, regarding the buttons of Apply/Save you mean all of them? Just create a ticket or drop us a mail and we'll gladly help you to set it up :)

eXtplorer
Can't live without it! This extension is a must-have and provides so much more functionality and ease for managing your images. You can upload, create new directories, and even view your images and place them into archives.. SO AWESOME.. The only thing I can't figure out is that I am still getting the same image editor popup within Articles so I can't just grab an image from the extplorer files that I have setup, so if you don't know the link to the image, you have to go back and copy/paste.

SOBI2 Import and Backup Plugin
Purchased the extension because it says you can use Excel, but after trying several times, and contacting developers, they tell me "you cannot use Excel". Too bad, this would have been a great extension if it worked and was backed up by the developers.

The Import & Backup Plugin creates and reads CSV files. You can use your Excel program to edit them. If you open the CSV file created by the plugin with Excel, you have to use the Excel data/text import function in order to let Excel know the different separator and text delimiter signs and the encoding of the file. See your Excel manual for this. While saving a CSV file Excel unfortunately uses some standard settings which cannot be changed easily.
We don't say that it is not possible to use Excel, but we do not recommend to use Excel. There are the free Office solutions OpenOffice (Windows and Linux) and NeoOffice (Mac) available which have wider setting possibilities in creating CSV files. You can download them for free at their websites.

JoomSlide
Too bad this doesn't work and there's no documentation. I checked the forums, and can see that it's working right here with the description of the extension, but I can't do anything with it.

Documentation is extremely simplified, says to add the class: joomslide to your images. I did that and the images open in a new window. No other extensions are using Highslide so there should be no issues. Forums have no responses. Looking for another solution.
