The concept for this extension is a great one. Unfortunately, its development was never finished, and it should really not even be listed here in the Extensions Directory. The developer was gracious enough to immediately respond to my e-mail inquiry, to tell me he was not supporting or developing this extension at this time. Hopefully, someone will create something like this for Joomla and JomSocial.

VOTItaly
This plugin beautifully replaces the stock Joomla ratings circles with stars - which is what you would EXPECT to see in a ratings system in the first place! In addition, the parameters you can set in this extension include making it so that an IP address can vote only once, or can vote once every 24 hours, or you can choose from several other intervals. The rating that appears includes not only stars, but shows the average of all of the votes thus far ("1.7 out of 5", for example). And yes, the AJAX is very cool looking, too. I rate this extension five STARS. And to the developer: thank you VERY much for an excellent contribution to the Joomla community - you are to be commended.
mtwMigrator
I spent the better part of the day yesterday trying to use this extension to migrate a site, which uses sh404SEF and specifies the title aliases to be used in the articles' URLs for search engine purposes. I just discovered this morning as I returned to work that none of the URLs are the same as in the original existing Joomla 1.0 site - because the title aliases in all of our content items did not migrate over to our Joomla 1.5 test site. Unfortunately, I couldn't post in the developer's support forum because I am ignorant in Spanish. We can't replace our 1.0 site with a 1.5 site if the existing URLs aren't going tobe the same! Anyone else have this problem?

First, sh404SEF is not supported yet. And second, Joomla 1.0 dont have url aliases, the url aliases is created with a Joomla 1.5 function from the original title. Is obviously that the existing url arent going to be the same because i think that the url aliases is created by sh404SEF.
