I used Seminar before. It was very nice event extension for Joomla 1.5.
Finally, it is now available for Joomla 2.5 too, with a new name (Matukio) and a lot of new features. I highly recommend it.

Thanks to the developer for bringing us such a nice captcha solution. It makes a pretty boring procedure an enjoyable one for users.
I hope this captcha will also be available in other languages.

Powerful commenting solution

Beside good support from developer, this commenting component has many powerful functions. For example I like the most is search function. Another thing is that you can manage all comments from frontend. A menu bar which includes items like Add New, Search, etc is also very handy.
After having compared many other commenting extentions around, I can now say that this is the best for me.
