VM Live Product Search

- This extension by default includes hidden links/advertising. Hidden links/advertising can affect the Search Engine ranking.
How it works -
The string that is typed in the search box is sent as a search request to the normal VirtueMart search page.
The returned result has the product names and product page urls extracted and displayed under the search box.
If there is one result a message is displayed and the browser is re-directed to the product page.

Tested OK with sh404SEF.
German, French, Dutch, Czech and Hungarian language files included. These may need slight editing by a native speaker ;).
This is based on the excellent mod_pixsearch live search module designed by Henrik Hussfelt (www.pixpro.net)

Backlink to my site is included in the code.
Considering the package has been downloaded >2700 times with a 3 donations I don't think this is too bad ;).
I can remove the backlink if you want. Contact me thru my site.
This module worked as required after a simple installation and minimal configuration. There were a few search issues that were inconsistent so I appealed for help via the support site...
John contacted me within a few hours and explained what was wrong AND where I should look to fix it... Or he could fix it (customise his own module) for a very small sum as the issue was caused (as I suspected) by my custom browse pages NOT the Module.
The initial issue (and a few subsequent issues caused by my client's requests) were fixed both fast and professionally. On the whole a great module and EXCELLENT support... Try it before you bother with anything else!
I had to edit the Language files because of a translation error but the developer is going to update that.
Also I had to create the language specific file for dutch (root)/language/nl-NL/[nl-NL.mod_vm_live_product] because it was not included. The file holds the messages that are displayed like [Search.. 3 letters min]. It takes like 2 minutes and is easy to do.
The bad!
If the search does not show any result it defaults to the main page. the developer also says this on his site but it is something that needs to be solved. If you are searching in a shop you want to stay there and not get redirected to another part of the site.
Concl.
This is an extension that works fine for a small site and is fool proof for Newbies. Try it
Thanks Plieka,
Could you send me a copy of the nl-NL.mod_vm_live_product.ini so I can include it. You can post it on my support page thanks.
Not quite right about the "no result", it returns you to the standard VM results page with a "no results found" message.
The module, if published on all shop pages, will be still available.
