With "Custom Profiles" there are two options available in the plugin configuration.
* Make all fields of the "Custom Profiles" searchable
* Define up to 5 fields of the "Custom Profiles" and make only these fields searchable
Since version 1.4 it is possible to show pictures (e.g. avatars, event avatars etc.) from Jomsocial in the search results. (Please read the tutorial for integration informations!)

The plugin is tested with Jomsocial 1.8.xxx, 2.0.6, 2.2.5 and 2.4.1.
its about time this extension came out. This is the only direct way to search jomsocial from joomla. Took a little bit of effort, cause its a newer extension, but the end result is all that counts. It works!! Take note,....to subscribers, you have to add code after line 1 right now, but im sure it will be fixed in the next version. Excellent plugin, and possibly your only real option. So work with it and it will work with you. Thank you development team, youve saved me alot of hassel. Keep it going!

The issue with adding some code on some J 1.6 and 1.7 installations is fixed since version 1.7
Works as stated. At last, Images in search results !. Looks great and only requires com_seach override.
Suggestion would be to extend this to K2, com_content, Joomgallery etc...5 stars..
