Compatibility: The CoolCBsearch plugin has been written for Joomla 1.7 (and J 1.7.x ), Joomla 2.5+ and for Community Builder 1.7+, 1.8+ . It is based on an earlier version done by SoftForge Ltd that is working only for Joomla 1.5.
- CoolCBsearch uses the Joomla 1.7+, 2.5+ search API.
- CoolCBsearch integrates the management of language files. In this version, only the English file is available ; however it is now easy to add other language files.
Details: Like in its Joomla 1.5 counterpart, CoolCBsearch has the ability to set the menu Itemid for the search results (usually the main Community Builder menu item) as well as choose the name for Profiles and limit the number of search results returned. It can either search all profile fields except any defined in the blacklist or only fields defined in the whitelist. The default fields to be displayed in the search result can also be configured along with the name format and date.
Install instructions:
-> Review and edit all the plugin parameters.
-> Enter the menu Itemid for Community Builder and any other parameters as required.
-> Enable the plugin and, whenever necessary, consider creating in the database indexes on the fields to be searched (to improve the search speed whenever required).
