It is most useful when you want to use a menu type wrapper to display your forum, and create the illusion that the forum is integrated into your site. Using this extension, the search results will contain links to your forum topics that will open the forum inside the wrapper class, at the correct page, allowing you to use the forum for your discussions and Joomla! for content... and search all with one easy click.
Version 1.1 adds a lot of parameters in the way the link is generated, allowing greater customisation of your site's search results.
Version 1.2 allows your PHPBB3 to run in a separate database to Joomla!

I give this mod 5 stars.. for a couple of reasons , firstly it works as intended :) although I had a bizzare set of circumstances whereby I had 2 separate DB's one for Joomla and One for PHPBB3.
problem I had was that this mod was intended for both Joomla & PHPBB3 to be combined within the one DB. However upon contacting Connectage I was given an adventurous work around which turned out to be Great (thank you team) the Support is Excellent and the mod work's Functions Beautifully .. I do have one small prob which is clientside in the sense that the Joomla/PHPBB3 DB's have Different Char-Sets and therefore some content is slightly off but overall it works perfectly.
I also made a small feature request that I believe that they are going to implement in a future version which will benefit all others who are using this mod .

The forum finder works great. I'm using it in conjunction RokBridge with no issues.
The Connectage support is very responsive on their forums, which I've mainly used with Connectage's other product, Cartage, that integrates ZenCart with Joomla. This is a far more complex product and has required little support as it works exactly as advertised seamlessly integrating ZenCart with Joomla, including the administrator. Unlike other ZenCart bridges, this integration supports the use of all ZenCart sideboxes.
I strongly recommend this company and both of their products that I've tried.

I would so much like to rate this excellent (which I will once it completly works).
With the very simple install of the plugin, I was immediatly able to enter a keyword in my site search and it would now look and return results from my RokBridge phpBB3 forum. How awesome is that... but when clicking on the link it doesn't translate to Joomla SEF and fails to open.
So Close and a great Start but not done yet.

We're pretty happy the plugin works well. We've also got great free support and I'd urge you to contact support with any issues you're having. I'm sure we'll sort em out pretty fast.
