bo:ResetArticleHits Module

bo:ResetArticleHits provides an administration module that can reset the hits of an individual article. It is also possible to change the number of hits to a value other than 0. In addition, the module offers filtering options to narrow and sort the article list.

Current versions:
- Joomla 2.5.x: 1.4.0
- Joomla 3.x.x: 2.0.0

The module is based on the core module "mod_popular".

Feedback in form of error descriptions or suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

Just installed bo:ResetArticleHits to reset hits of a new article that had recorded all my preview hits as author (sure wish we could disable hit tracking for authors).

After enabling the admin module and publishing in cpanel position the job is now super easy to reset hits on an article by article basis.

The search and category view speed finding what the user is looking for. Does just what it promises. Excellent - Thank you!

Easy to Install and Use. Works perfectly.

I use it to reset my 404 error page to zero every month or so.

Thanks tons for a great free tool.

Joomla 2.5.x made it impossible to manage article hits and reviews. Helped me out when I needed it. Thanks.

Seeing that Joomla 2.5 removed the reset button for article hit counter, I was pleased to find this extension added.

I still would like to see the reset button on individual articles but this extension does what it says.

Lets you reset an article's hit counter without having to go through your database with phpmyadmin.

You publish this extension on the Admin cPanel and you will get a list of all your articles and the ability to reset the hit counter for individual articles.

The articles are listed in alphabetical order. There's no search filter or category filter so if you have a ton of articles you may need to scroll through a long page list.

Aesthetically, reset button text is not in english as well as the module name and column titles look like this: "MOD_BO_RESETARTICLEHITS_ITEMS" & "MOD_BO_RESETARTICLEHITS_RESET_HITS".

If you need to reset hit counter for individual articles, this will do it as long as you don't mind the flaws aesthetically and scrolling through a long page if you have tons of articles.

Hello Abishai,

thank you for your review.

I have updated the module with some new features. Now it should be better to handle the articles.

Best regards
