For many years I used phpMyVisites on my {non joomla] sites.
When I moved to Joomla I was not comfortable with what I saw. Then I discovered that this magic analytics tool had morphed to Piwic and that I could install with this extension.
I was a bit wary but, well the installation went like a dream. Everything managed by the installer and up and running in a matter of minutes - yes, that fast.
Now I await my first days report to see that it also performs as expected.

Congrats for an excellent solution that installs Piwik and adds a tracking code - all with a few clicks. Installation was a breeze. Piwik is indeed a great alternative to Google analytics and this component makes it all the more convenient...

I wasted my 2 days for this stupid extension. It was very difficult to install and after a days work I installed it, but all in wane. Their documentation page is not working, gets a 404 error.
If you have lot of time to waste then try this stupid extension.

Please make sure your server has the needed requirements and use ur new Version 4.0.2 we integrated a new way for installing huge files.

Tried to install this on my website and kept getting an error message on the 2nd page of install. Spent hours trying to sort out the problem and eventually went to the website and requested help via the forum. The reply was absolutely useless and slow. requested another support help query and so far no response.
Looks a good component but lacks the support when problems arise hence my 1 star.

great component all right but installation. The developper site needs a support forum for users.
It is needed a feature to embed the statistics in the frontend.

Other than having a separate login. It is a very well integrated tool. If you have used Piwik before then the inconvenience of having to login twice will not have any bearing on you decision to use this fantastic tool!

This piwik is a very good tool ! I am wondering why nobody rated it yet... As about component I would say it would have at least to authenticate with joomla together... at least in the backend... so is room for improvements
