statistX adds a configurable hit counter to your Joomla! website. It also includes a web traffic and search/keyword -analysis.

To get your free statistX ID, simply visit http://www.statistx.com/signup.php and:
enter your desired username
enter your website's URL
select the counter style you like
opt for top 100 inclusion for valuable backlinks
enter the captcha code
press "Signup"
write down or save your statistX ID and password
insert your statistX ID in the module parameters
press "Save".
Working very badly, all my stats suddenly disappears and starts from scratch. I have used it now for a couple of month and will delete it now. It happended twice now.

We have a significant increase in daily subscriptions and the SQL servers could not handle the load. We are working very hard on changing the database structure to make it ready for handling users in different databases (some on different server) and provide the great service we did for over 5 years. As the main function of the original statistX was the hit counter, this function is handled separately and it is NOT affected by the above described issue.

This was very easy to setup, just follow the instructions given on this page. The statistics site has all the functionality I need and it's very easy to get started with. I read the reviews, tried it and it fits like a glove! I forgot to write down my ID and it wasn't in the e-mail sent to me. However, I could locate the ID in the "get counter code" section, it's the number after the i= in the URL. No biggie, but including the ID in the e-mail would be nice. Anyway, I like it very much!
This is a great module. I really like the fact I can use the service provided by statistix.com without making changes to my template(s). This module helps isolate template changes, and that's a big maintenance plus. Set-up and installation were bullet-proof. Great stuff!
The module works perfect! We are using statistx.com since more than 1 year for our clients (somehow it helps with the keyword database and g position), because of the multiple button choices, we can use it on any design/website.
I don't see big difference between including the code into the template or a custom module (it takes about the same time) but for those who don't want to mess with their template or custom HTML modules, inserting the id is definitely easier.
