RokGZipper is a plugin whose primary aim is to improve the performance and speed of your site. It does this by compressing your CSS (stylesheets) and JavaScript files. For javascript files, it compresses them altogether (via GZip) and places them in the cache folder.
It differentiates between the pages so if you have a particular combination of scripts on one page, and a different combination on another, two files will be created and loaded independently, allowing your site to load much faster.

In RokGZipper's defense, it's the only one of the 3 I've tested (CSSJSCompress, JFinalizer) that didn't break on encountering JCEUtilities.js
However, it still falls down on 2 issues...
Firstly, it doesn't aggregate all the JS and CSS files. It simple compresses them individually. Some might view this as a feature...
Secondly, the breaking point for me, it doesn't use the cache or tmp folder. It creates the compressed file in the same folder as the original. This means you end up with cryptically named PHP files in your templates folders, plugins folders, components folders, everywhere! And there's no method to clear them out via the plugin interface.
If you aren't one of those obsessive web developer types who likes things to be tidy and sensibly organised then this plugin is probably the easiest way to get some sort of compression on our site.
If you are like me however :) then you've been warned!

The top two extensions of this type appear to be CssJsCompress and RokGZipper. From personal experience, I have found RokGZipper to out perform CssJsCompress (according to joomlaperformance.com tests I have performed). The only advantage that CssJsCompress has is the addition of compression, which increases my YSlow score by 6 points. If this can be fixed I would definitely give this five stars.
I think after installing this my site became 30% - 50% faster, yes it does have small conflicts with a mod or two but I think it works
the only reason I gave it a 4 was it cant understand or detect even if you put a javascript between the body tags. It keeps conflicting with Mini Ad Spots tool lip.

I installed, and got a whole heap of errors come up on my home page, and I even use a Rockettheme template. So removed instantly.
This site Joomla Performance (as mentioned on another post)confused me. As I ran a test on Joomla Performance and got 10 fails out of 14. So their own site failed most of it's own tests. Strange!
Apart from that, the guys at Rockettheme do a great job.

I ran a site performance test at Joomla Performance (http://www.joomlaperformance.com/component/option,com_performance/Itemid,52/). I had only two items pass: HTML Size and Frames. Everything else failed.
I just happened to run across RokGZipper and installed it on a whim. Am I ever glad I did!
I immediately re-ran the performance grader from Joomla Performance and WOW! the software did exactly what it suggested it would do-- and even more!!
The performance test came back with everything passing except HTML Encoding >> Gzip, which still failed.
I'm estatic about this software. If you want to see immediate improvement in your site, PLEASE check this out.
(I have absolutely no connection to the developer. This is really a great product.)
