This extension does not work with Joomla’s system cache plugin. However it does work with the Joomla cache of the global settings. You should have no issues if you use a supported Joomla version and a website that’s developed with good coding standards. Please see the system requirements on our site.

Cookie control is very easy to use and has a great deal of well written documentation.
It is virtually ready to go 'out of the box'. Many sites will only need to enter their domain name to get it running. In addition to that, I only had to add the class names of elements I wanted hidden without the consent of the user.
I had one question for support (that I missed in the documentation) that was answered in minutes.
A great extension that really got me out of trouble with this daft cookie law!
Last and not least, this extension is not only for being well with Cookie Law, but it also empowers your users and allow them to change their mind regarding cookies. This is a great point if you do respect your users.
I personally love macarons and make them myself, but it makes me want to go home and bake! :-) Great Component.
I like the graphs and charts to track visitors and then Google analytic segment for tracking.
My only critique is that when you pay on paypal and you are sent back to your website it is not very clear where you have to download the component.
I would much prefer a link in an email which allows you click and download.
I run 2 businesses and don't have time to spend searching around a site for something I have already paid for.
I'm not downgrading a star, but it would be good to see a change.
Thank you for your awesome review! It really means a lot to me :)
Also thank you for your valuable feedback. I've added an extensive FAQ to the invoice with links to the downloads, documentation, support and more. So this won't be an issue anymore. I'll send you a copy by e-mail.
In addition there is readable and useful documentation although for basic use the options are self explanatory.
The extension, which I have now translated to Norwegian (bokmål completed, nynorsk will take some more time as it is not my primary language) is excellent.
I have also suggested a functional improvement, and the feedback was immediate. It is being investigated already.
I was loosing time with other non-commercial extension for bloking cookies. To block GA and my own cookies it was ok, but to block more 3rd party cookies I just couldn't find anything right.
Cookie Confirm is just what I need for y several websites with social buttons, Youtube embeded players, maps and some other applications. Yes, it is commercial, but the price is very reasonable for what you get.
With Cookie Confirm you get an excellent component and plugin that works very smooth and fast. The administration is very clear and easy to set up.
Another great thing for me is developers website, which is very informative (check for example Documentation!) and helpful with lot's of useful stuff. Only with a help of documentation for CC I've configured how to block other 3rd party cookies and it was very very easy to di it. Thanks for that, saved me a lot of time!
Of course I needed an assistant with some other stuff too, opened a new ticket and the support is very fast and just perfect.
Ok, and now my only complaint for now. Is there really have to be that hamburger cookie? I know you meant French cookies... :) I rather prefer some other, maybe more professional looking icon. But that's just my opinion.
That's it. Thank you for everything and keep on the good thing!
Thank you for your extensive review and feedback, mladiucitelj!
On popular request we have redesigned the Privacy Settings button, which indeed looked a bit like a hamburger. It's now a small monochrome button which clearly represents a cookie and the consent status. We used CSS3 and a vector icon font which is also super crisp on retina displays. Since it's not an image anymore you can very easily edit it with CSS if you want to. If you update to Cookie Confirm 2.7.0, the button will automatically be updated.
I had a small server specific issue installing Cookie Confirm but on submitting a support ticket this was quickly and professionally resolved.
Many thanks for producing a simple to use and extremely powerful Joomla Extension along with providing an exemplary support service.
Excellent product and developer.
+ Easy to install
+ Easy to configure
+ Easy to customize and style
+ Very good manual
- ugly hamburger in de corner
Thank you for your review and feedback!
The 'hamburger' in the corner is meant to be a cookie. It's actually a macaron, which is a French cookie. I have to admit that it also looks like a hamburger. I can change it if a considerable amount of users find this an issue.
Nevertheless it's possible to use an image of your liking by using a template override. Also you can hide it by disabling the privacy settings if you don't want to use those settings (I don't recommend this though).
Thanks for your kind review, Elizabeth!
It was necessarily to edit the index.php (of the template), since the Statcounter was loaded directly from the template. No Joomla! core files were harmed during this operation ;).
Joomla! has a great community and I'm sure you'll also love it. We're glad to have you on board!
And after watching the demo and reading the documentation I decided to buy it.
And I'm glad I did it because this extension is very nice designed and works great!
I started with version 1.0.4 but yesterday I upgraded to 2.0.0 (stable) and this version is even greater. More features, easier setup and it works great, even in all my subdomains.
Great job, thanks Jurian!
