This simple footer module allows to display any text in Joomla! footer.
This is an updated version of our Footer-Pixarts. Now there are 4 distinct Zones separated by a separator that can be changed by what you want.
Zone 1 | Zone 2 URL | Zone 3 URL | Zone 4 URL
Zone 1: Copyright and year
Zone 2: Text and or URL
Zone 3: Text and or URL
Zone 4: Text and or URL
If you want to use only one zone, deactivate the separator
If you want to use less than 4 zones use for example "zone 1" and "zone 4" which will not add a separator at the end of the second zone. Do not use only "zone 1" and "zone 2" which will display a separator at the end of the second zone.
Any of these zones can be published or unpublished.
If the zone is published and you want to show the URL don't write anything in the text field. If you want to publish only the text you can push on no in use URL.

Great module. Easy to install and use!! Giving this 4 stars because you can not center the text. Hope to see that in the future :).

Simply put a css cass in the module then in your style sheet write .yourClass {text-align: center;} and that's it!
I have 2 issues with this module. Text not centered and only allows 3 extra zones. If you do not mind that, then this is will do the job.
This module really works great and is very user friendly! I had installed an earlier version (1.2.0) and had some issues with a link being inserted when I tried to use the last Zone. I contacted Pixarts through the forums on their website. I received a response that instructed to install an updated version (1.3.0). This solved the issue immediately.
After spending about 3 hrs trying to figure out how to mod the stock footer it finally dawned on me to see if there was a custom mod for the footer. WALAA!! Found Footer Pixarts, downloaded, installed and was finished moding the footer in just a few minutes. What a time saver!!!

It loads, it works, it's nice.
However, I have a suggestion.
It seems when you use a separator, it will appear more often than desired. I was using "-" as a separator and was using zone 1. And the result was "Copyright 2009 - Bake With Mike -" I'd rather not see the trailing dash. It looks like it was trying to separate zone one from the unused zone 2.

I see the problem. In order to solve it, if you want to use only too zones, e.g. the copyright and something else use the last zone which does not have a separator at the end. I'll soon come up with some improvement such as the ability to use images and I'll find a solution for this.

I've tried it and it doesn't work. Maybe is because the template, but the extension doesn't show any kind of information. A pitty, cause I really needed to change my footer, but it just didn't show anything at all. In case they find the problem, I'd like that they also add the opportunity to add more texts fields.
