We've migrated a live site to a new format and had a massive amount of content that was moving around. I'd tried a few other SEF extensions as well as the free version of MijoSEF.

Eventually, I took a chance on MijoSEF and paid for the VIP Support because it seemed to do the most of what I needed right out of the box.

This is one of the best decisions I've made within the Joomla! environment. This software is fantastic and the support is even stronger.

Be warned that the free version offers no support and little to no tutorials. It's worth the money to get the support from MijoSoft if, like me, you are very new to all of the factors that come play with SEF and Joomla.

They are VERY fast on the support replies. They do not have a forum for users to discuss issues where more experienced users could assist the newbs.

I'm not working on a website that contains multiple languages so I can't respond to those comments, but our site is large. Once I got my head around the software, it's smooth sailing.

I've all my pages with Mijosef. I'm a newbie in SEF, but this extension has helped me to achieve the SEO objectives of average and expert webmaster.

As a newbie I was having issues with understanding all the concepts and options. In every ticket several mijosef support team showed a great professional profile!

great seo tool for small sites but i use the free version on my website and with + 60000 records, my website is very very slow :(

Installed this and it starts working straight away, I had tried some similar extension but i needn't have bothered. Also looking at the other reviews the Support is A+ which is why i will purchased this product to get all the extra features. :)

SEF is quite a complex subject.

I've decided to go with MijoSEF for all my sites and do not regret it.

I recently had a issue with one site and the support was great. They got my parameter fixed up in a snap.

I sincerly recommand MijoSEF.

I had a strange issue when using MijoSEF with Falang Translation tool. The support solved my problem in no time. Thanks Mijo-Team!

This is a great sef extension for sure but with many pages, if you use mijosef, your site could be slow and it seems there is a problem with plenty of categories

This extensions has many (too?) options and features. It is hard to setup correctly. Fortunately, the support is quick to reply at the beginning. Make sure your site is online and accessible because you need to give them full access to your back end.

Sadly, i uninstalled it because it is slowing down my site and I couldn't make it work properly with virtuemart even having purchased the extra plugin.

One of my clients made me know about MijoSEF and I must admit that I was surprised by the ability of MijoSEF. I have the client's site in the first page just in 1 week!

The user interface is so amazing, I can manage all of the SEF URLs and Metadata on the fly, from just 1 page.

I have moved several of my main components to the ones from Mijosoft, also MijoSEF, just because the quality of their components is excellent, and the support is beyond outstanding.

I have tried most of the other SEF components over the years, and with our site publishing lots of 3rd party content, MijoSEF is simply the best.

This extension supports English websites very well. But if your website is in UTF-8 language, such as Chinese or Korean, don't use it, unless you want to show utf-8 characters in your SEF URLs.

Nice component with a comprehensive list of features, unfortunately it has some serious flaws:

Installation broke a multilingual site - so better use it on a single language site only!

Some articles do not show up at the (html) sitemap (Probably because there's no menu pointing to them, although they are accessible through the tags).
The links in the html sitemap must be ordered by hand(!), which renders the sitemap feature useless for huge sites, well you can leave the links unsorted which looks very unprofessional.

Data entered at MijoSEF Metadata is ignored/gets overwritten as soon as an article is saved!
The MijoSEF Metadata is displayed at every tab at the Edit Article page - displaying it only once would be enough.

MijoSEF brings it's own TAGS system which is useful for joomla 3.0 and earlier, but obsolete for joomla 3.1


On the other side, there's a +1 for the highly responsive and competent support.

To conclude it: The flaws render MijoSEF utterly useless for my requirements. Given the high amount of excellent reviews, I'm quite disappointed.

This extension has to potential of being the top SEF tools.

It's deployment is somewhat complicated due to the high quantity of options.

I would expect things like the Bookmarking tools to be set to a single setting not all of them published immediately on installation -> you end up with a thousand bookmarking icons in your site upon activation? It also doesn’t seem to render the icons on home pages ?

In reading through all of the other reviews, it’s clear that most are really satisfied with the extension. As am I in general. It looks like most are unilingual sites since no one seems to discuss issues relative to a multilingual installation ? This is where it gets less fun -> For multilingual sites, the extension becomes really complicated to setup. Due to Joomla’s suggested multilingual setup obligating one to use a bogus empty menu for the “all” language (which is then hidden in an unused menu group), for MijoSEF to work properly, you need to setup a manual redirection in your .htaccess file which ends up adding a URL label to the home URL of your site (some have mentioned this is not recommended for Google SEO but I’m not sure about that). I've brought this up with the dev team a few weeks ago and I’m still waiting for a response.

This leads me to support. It's quite good, but not perfect. When integrators such ourselves deploy important extensions such as this one (and pay for it), we expect good response time and full follow through in each case. I would give them 80% on this which is better than a lot of other extension dev companies. I just thinks it should be upped a wee bit to be perfect.

As mentioned, I’m sure, with time, this extension will become the leading one for SEF. I really hope to see it evolve from a 4/5 to a 5/5.

While Gilbert from Mijosoft is fixing some problems which I have in the urls, caused by not so well programmed other extensions, I was thinking that I have to write a review about this great extension, to point other people to it.
But when I start to read all the other reviews here, I noticed that everything about this extension has already been told. And I only can agree with it.

Beside the fact that Mijosef is working perfect, the basic version is also free. And with so many extensions in the JED I found out that it is more and more important to test a component, before buying it. And with this basic version you already can do almost everyting.
Second, I never had (and probably never will get) such a good support as the support Mijosoft is giving! Also with their other extensions, their employees are doing everything they can to get your problem solved. Even when the problem is caused by another extension. And they do it fast..very fast.

And look to the changelogs, the devellopment of all their extensions is going very fast. When you check their blog you often see new functions.

So, if you are looking for a SEO extension, try MijoSEF first. I am sure you like it!

I used to have tons of problems with Google webmaster's tools and 404 error pages because of duplicated content. I didn't use a component for SEF Urls, rather than a plugin which worked pretty fine, but didn't address the issue of duplicate URLs ( It wasn't to blame of course )

I run a Joomla + VM ( 1.5 + 1.1.9 ) web store, with a good monthly income, and as I needed even better SEO, I had to use a SEF extension.

I have tried some extensions in the past,such as sh404sef and Joomsef and I came to only ONE conclusion : SLOW, SLOW, SLOW.

I took a look at JED, and I stumbled across Mijosef. I have never heard of the guys before, and as I had all the night to "play" and experiment, I bought Mijosef. I also bought this instead of sh404sef for example ( Which I also bought later on ) because I wanted to give credit to some new guys that are around, and help them spread their wings as well. We don't always have to support the people that have already a pretty good userbase. Good things may also come from people we've never heard of.

The first thing I DIDN'T like, and still don't, is the fact that they don't have a list of the 3rd party plugins that you need to BUY afterwards in order for your respective components to work as expected. It's not that bad, but I would prefer to see it in the product specifications. Being transparent ALWAYS brings better results for one's business.

And... that's the last thing I don't like about this component and Mijosoft products.

The Mijosef extension and the guys who operate Mijosoft are worthy of the money they ask for their extensions, at least for Mijosef.

The component works like a CHARM, configuration is pretty easy and self - explanatory. The control panel is very good in its UI, and one can make a ton of improvements and configurations.

I encountered some problems with the post-installation settings-configuration and with the Virtuemart plugin, but the guys supported me in a very good manner, and I thank them publicly for that. They don't tell you that your website is at fault, or that other components are interfering; they try to figure out what's really wrong and point you to the solutions available spending no time of yours with nonsense.

The most important part of this component is that it's like it's not even there. My website hasn't slowed down significantly. It's at a very good rate of speed and usability, something I couldn't achieve with other components.

I find the Sitemap feature to be EXTREMELY useful, especially for us users of Virtuemart, who all know the woes of multiple menu ID's and the such. No need for Xmap or anything like that. You can configure everything, inclusions, exclusions, virtually anything, from the Sitemap's interface, and also automatically ping Bing, Google and other services about your site's content. Talk about real SEO right?!!!!

At the end of the day, Mijosef does what it's creators promise, helps a lot with URLs, Metadata ( I haven't mentioned that part because I am using another extension for this, but I've tried it for a while and it worked pretty good ), Sitemap, 404 and redirect management, and everything in between.

A really good and worthy extension.

What i can say?!?!? Really really the best. Very easy extension, SUPPORT 5 STARS, they have fix a BIG problem in 2 DAYS. I suggest at all that extension, especially for JReviews, NO BUG, ALL WORK...

I loved this component very much. Support is amazing. If you need seo tool, choose MijoSEF.

I just bought the SobiPro MijoSEF plugin and I had some issue they quickly fixed the plugin. Later on I had problems with MijoSEF settings but they helped me quickly. The developer has been extremely helpful and patient. They always answered my silly questions and they provided me with full support even though I dont have premium membership. They sorted my all problems. This is a good example where the component and the support are on top level.

i Have worked, it alot seo components for joomla, and mijosef to me is the best so far, their support is excellent, have help me with some question i had, keep the good work guys.
