I too spent a group of time working to setup my site with this software. I originally thought it was great. Then, suddenly it just stopped working. The SEO input stayed, but not after I turned the Extention off.

I tried on multiple occasions to contact JJExtentions for support, but they have NO SUPPORT on there site. All I could find was an email drop down on their Menu under Contact.

If you need SEO simplification. This is NOT THE ANSWER!!!

After installing SmartSEO 6 months ago, I spent hours & hours loading up the meta data.

I never realized it, but about 3 months ago ALL meta descriptions and key words dropped from EVERY page. My SEO Ranking is dropping.

There have been no updates to the extension and the support forum is dead.

Today I am switching to EFSEO which seems to be much better supported.

Break website when install, no support on there forums, tickets not answered, emails not answered.

A client of mine bought the extension.
I installed it, enabled plugin, but begun having some trouble with JS libraries not loading, etc. The toolbar could not be moved, closed, etc. I mailed them and after some days, they sent me a totally new version, re-designed, and working awesome. The toolbar can be "minimized" and it does not interfere with user tasks

I must agree with the user below me. I have used this product on and off for a number of clients of mine throughout the past 8 months or so.

The problem?

- 1) After you pay for the product and download it, the only way to obtain a new release is to purchase it all over again.

2) Support forum is dead

3) The last build of this barely works on Joomla 2.5 (even though they updated their JED to say it does).

4) When the software doesn't work, and you email customer support, if they can't solve it for you they just ignore you.

5) The product will just STOP working on a site that where it once worked due to "permission" issues; and really there is no way to fix it because... the developers have NOT, and I repeat, have NOT updated this extension properly.

This extension used to work and when it did, it was amazing... but good luck getting it to do anything right now other than break. Sometimes it might work, most of the times it won't work and the developers website is, like I said, dead. They are still selling a 1.7 version which is super buggy while claiming it works on 2.5. Go ahead, spend $25 and tell me that you can get it to work on 2.5.

As the title says, this is my first negative review.

I have a Joomla/Virtuemart site and was quite excited to see SmartSEO with a lot of good reviews. It installed easily and seemed to work. However changed data was not been saved and reverted to the original data on page refresh.

I tried a few things I found in posts by people with the same problem - none of which worked for me.

I read the reviews here and saw the devs tell someone else to email info@jjextensions.com with any problems. So I have emailed this address a couple of times with my problem without any reply. I also CCd in the address used to accept my payment - no reply.

I have submitted a support ticket via the devs website - again without reply.

I have also added a post in the devs support forum - again again without reply. The support forum has a few posts asking for help - without reply.

I am not a new user, and have used many plugins across many sites. However when paying money to use a COMMERCIAL version of a plugin/component I do expect even the most basic levels of support.

The only positive is that it was not expensive to purchase and try out. For me it has not worked and I have now moved onto another solution.

I appreciate both the ease of use and the effectiveness of this component for someone who does not always follow through on details. SEO is so important, but I don't always get it done as I finish an article. However, with Smart SEO, you have the component right on the frontend page, making it impossible to forget and easy to use.

Ibeen using Ver:0.7C for quite sometime now and I have found it to be an excellent product and does what it says but, I really would like to be able to drag the panel away fron the centre top or have an option for an alternative display posistion. It may already have this option in a later version but this apart the program is superb!

It seems like this could be one of the best extnsions for SEO but sadley although it works very well it causes the shoping cart in Tienda to fail at the check out so have had to reomve the extension otherwise looked good.

Works really well and is cleverly designed. Enabling you to see the front end and apply the required keywords, which is more intuitive than working from the backend.

I am very pleased with this extension. It was installed on a new clients site that we took over and we really liked it.

We installed on a Joomla 1.7 site and had a couple issues - support was fast and excellent - issue was resolved in hours.

It works as advertised and we plan to use it on all sites going forward.

5 stars because:
- works and does what it says in 1.5 and 1.7
- saves a lot of time in SEO activity
- lets you add meta tags even where Joomla! doesn't, for example categories
- is beautiful ;-)

I use this extension on Joomla 1.5. It is super easy to install and use, just follow the instructions. The Best

This extension will save a lot of time and lets you change titles, description and metas on your pages in seconds, even with virtuemart, adsmanager and joomgallery which I have installed. Support is also very good if you have and template issues etc.

Installed Smart SEO, was a very easy install. I've had an adult site for 16 years, believe when I say I've used many people for SEO. I am very please with this product.

SEO is too important to skip purchasing this plug-in! There are a few bugs when using a customized template, but support is very friendly and won't give up until the plug-in is working. I highly recommend this extension for every joomla site.

Very nice work done. It´s very easy to work with and saves a lot of time entering SEO contents. The only issue which we had was on the previuos version (0.7D)the extension had a conflict with the multilanuage plugin and could not save the contents, but Thanks to the team and there support, the bug was fixed in Update 0.7D.3

Very good, but what if you want to edit the tags for the registration, login and logout pages? What do you do? Simultaneously be logged in as super admin and be logged out so you won't get messages like "you have already registered, you do not need to register again"? Suggest anything, please.

Please note there is no backend to this software. Installation was not a problem although using it was an issue until I read the instructions. This operates from the front end logged in as admin. Functionality was simple and straight forward once I worked it out. Give it a go. Simplifies SEO coding and saves considerable time.

Just bought this product for my Joomla site. Very easy to install and within 10 minutes, I am able to monitor what pages I have missed and corrected the SEO of the site.
