I'm a bit behind on migrating a very important site from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 and wanted to get the Google Webmaster code into my old site so I could identify any links that break during the migration and this Mambot did the trick (after one slight change to the code).
QUICK FIX: It seems Google must have changed their code a bit resulting in this Mambot not working at first, though it was an easy fix:
(1) Navigate to /mambots/content/df_metagoogle.php
(2) Open up DF-Metagoogle.php and change "verify-v" to "google-site-verification"
(3) Then it will work!

Wow this is a hidden gem! Works perfectly right off the bat. I highly recommend it. I would encourage the author(s) to update this great extension. Google analytics has a new script for verification and should be easy to include that as well.
