NOTE: This plugin generates the meta data "on the fly" when the page is loaded, it does not save the meta data to the content's meta data fields seen in the Joomla editor. These fields can then be used to override the auto-generated meta description generated by this plugin. To see the plugin at work, you must view your page's source in your browser.
** SEOSimple 2.0 Features **
** Ability to customize how the front page meta description is handled. You can choose between having it auto generated based on the front page's content, or using the default Joomla site-wide meta description.
** HTML page title configuration. Set your page titles in three different ways:
1. [CONTENT TITLE] | [SITE NAME]
2. [SITE NAME] | [CONTENT TITLE]
3. [CONTENT TITLE] (Joomla 1.5 default)
You can also customize what the separator is (in this ex. it's a pipe |, but can be any character).
** Additionally, you can customize the front page of your site's title tag in a number of different ways (or not at all). Layouts include:
[Disable - Use Joomla Default]
[Custom Title] | [Site Title]
[Site Title] | [Custom Title]
[Custom Title]
[Site Title]

** *NEW in 2.0* We have added the ability to set your category pages to "noindex, follow" -- a common meta robots setting for such pages to avoid duplicate content penalties.

A must have plugin for sure. I used it and started getting results on google in matter of minutes. I am not sure what i do to improve the results, but this surely is an immaculate plugin. Thanks
A couple things I like about it and are great for me, 1.) It leaves my meta descriptions alone that I already entered and 2.) It adds to the ones I completely forgot about.
And I love the different options concerning site title/page title/custom title and so on.

There seems to be a bug in the plugin. The frontpage parameters don't work on a website with multi languages. I want to just leave to fontpage meta to the global config but the plugin just pulls the text from the homepage.

Just installed it, and think it's great.
Had to do some digging to know to view 'page source' to actually see the results. I was looking in the meta data fields at the article level.
Not sure if I missed something in the documentation, but if it's not there, would be good to add it (might be good to add this note to the description text at the plugin module).

Hi Brad, thanks! And great point about being clearer regarding how the plugin works. I've adjusted the description text above to better reflect this and help avoid any confusion with the plugin's use.
This plugin works really nice. It does what the author says it does, thanks for sharing this useful tools to improve joomla in the SEO area.
