setMetaData System Plugin

This plugin will fire during the System onAfterInitialise event and call the JDocument setMetaData method to set up to five different meta data values set as parameters by the user.

This plugin was originally requested by gtron on the Joomla Forums. The originally requested purpose was to allow the user to set the generator tag in his RSS feeds. We went ahead and made the extension able to set any meta data value so it can hopefully be used by others.

1.0 - Initial Release
1.1 - Add GPL comments
1.2 - Add http-equiv support and the ability to add any number of data parameters.
2.0 - Add support for Joomla! 1.7

this is very good extension for Joomla. The only thing that bothers me, it is not yet available for Joomla! 1.6. Are you planning to upgrade this extension for this branch of Joomla? I would be very happy for him. thank you

I was looking for some easy and fast solution to add meta tags to all my pages, but most of the results were big and heavy components that did everything else than what I was looking for. But this small thing is exactly that!
How about extending it so it could use "http-equiv" as well beside "name" ...and maybe unlimited number of meta fields? Would be awesome.

Thanks for the feedback. If you can tell us how you think it should work, we can try to make the changes. If you just want another attribute for the meta field, that should be pretty easy to add. We could also make a parameter php class for each meta field so we could quickly increase the number of meta fields in the xml. We don't have a uservoice page or forums on our site, but we will be fixing that very soon. Feel free to contact us on our CMS Market forums or by email. Thanks again!
