SEO:ing titles is always up for debate, but our strong belief is that as long as you put the most important word first in the title, you gain more weight in search engines.
Therefore we reversed the breadcrumbs and put it in the title of each page.
The deeper you get on your site, the longer the title becomes.
For instance a breadcrumb could be:
Home > Support > Documentation > Migur Content Title
this would be the breadcrumb and the title would become:
Migur Content Title | Documentation | Support | SITE_NAME

I had to repeat some of the (hard worked) categories semantic terms in each article titles untill I came upon Migur Title plugin.
Now I can keep the articles' titles short for visitors and in Joomla! 2.5 backend, while having them use the valuable semantic terms in their path for Search engines. Awesome!
