Updated to serve Joomla 1.5-1.6-1.7 and now 2.5 in one single iteration. The extension was also updated to use the newer Asynchronous Google Analytics tracking code from the old URCHIN.JS and GA.JS.
This Plugin was created as a better alternative to the several "module based" solutions that are out there. As far as I know this is the first and only Joomla! 1.5 Native Plugin that does this.
Google Analytics, just like this extension, is free for you to use. Visit "http://www.google.com/analytics/" to signup.
new to google analytics overall and really didn't want to paste code in all of my joomla pages, so i gave this a shot. simply enable the plugin and put in your UA-xxxxxxxx-x code and save it.
now figuring out google analytics i'm sure won't be as easy but this plug in was a huge time saver.

this plugin helped me auto-insert HTML codes in website which is needed by Google Analytics. I just put the web ID in and enabled this plugin and, it worked! Thank you!
Super easy to install and works perfect in my case Joomla 2.5 with a Joomlart template.
I was especially looking to install the UA tracking code in a Joomlart template - The solutions given in the Joomlart forum are way to complicated - this extension does the trick. Thank you for submitting this free extension to the community.

Oh my goodness, you have no idea how easy and how effective this little plugin is. Thanks for such sheer power for free.
I have been using the Google Analytics feature provided by the YJSG Framework on my site until I detected that it was the main cause for very poor rendering times. Disabled that setting and installed Bigshot plugin instead. Now the site loads in just a couple of seconds.
I wish I had realized about it sooner. It only took a minute to download and install. Thanks guys!

Stunningly simple. One little snippet of code is all that is required for a permanent insertion of your analytics code. No more editing the templates directly.
